Biography for Jack Gaughan

Jack Gaughan - Ceramic artist, sculptor, performing artist.

Jack, a Brentwood artist working mostly in clay, earned two degrees from the College of Marin: AA in Fine Arts and AS in Applied Design. The style of Jack’s ceramic containers is usually characterized as “primitive.” They are handbuilt, freely formed and highly textured, yet somewhat functional. He also carves stone, paints and is an actor and singer.

Jack is the chairman of the annual East Contra Costa Artists’ Open Studio Tour, which takes place in May, and is a member of the Discover Art League, the Brentwood Art Society and the Vagabond Players.

Biography for Kyoko Campbell

Antioch artist Kyoko Campbell was born, raised and educated in Japan. Her art experience started just as she started her new life in the United States in 1970. The search for a life-long interest led her to start taking art classes at local colleges. Since then, she has taken many classes and private lessons in a variety of media. Her paintings have been exhibited in the United States and Europe.
